Fuel cell µCHP system inhouse5000+

What concrete solutions are there to supply your apartment building, office or business etablishment with energy in a more environmentally friendly way?

The answer is to use a combined heat and power unit with a fuel cell to supply you with electrical and thermal energy.

Our combined heat and power station (CHP) inhouse5000+ based on a PEM fuel cell is such a solution for the simultaneous supply of buildings with electricity and heat.

As the first manufacturer (almost 20 years ago) of a fuel cell CHP with an electrical output of 4.2 kW, you can rely on our long experience, innovative ideas and profound knowledge.

Innovative 4.2 kW fuel cell system for stationary energy supply.

Our micro combined heat and power plant has an electrical output of 5 kilowatts and a thermal output of 7.5 kilowatts. This makes the hydrogen fuel cell ideal for smaller apartment buildings and businesses such as office buildings, hotels or restaurants for efficient and electricity and heat production.

A fuel cell CHP unit offers considerable savings potential in terms of energy costs and CO2 emissions.

In addition to its comparatively high performance for fuel cell CHP units, the inhouse5000+ impresses with its PEM fuel cell due to its good modulation capability. The electrical output can be adjusted between 2.5 and 4.2 kW as required and enables continuous operation even in summer.

How the CHP works

Our CHP in-house5000+ works with a natural gas connection, as is also the case with standard heating systems such as Condensing boiler is used.

In the CHP plant, hydrogen is generated from natural gas to generate electrical energy. In detail, oxygen and hydrogen react with each other in a controlled process – this is also called cold combustion – and the reaction products are water, electrical energy and heat, which are used e.g. for heating and hot water preparation.

This results in significantly less CO2 emissions, fine dust, soot or sulfur dioxide.

Funding € 24,600 for your energy transition

The federal government is investing in our CHP fuel cell as part of the Funding program 433 “Energy-efficient construction and renovation – fuel cell subsidy” von der KfW Bank gefördert.

This funding program subsidizes our fuel cell heating systems inhouse5000+ with € 24,600 as a non-repayable grant.

The costs for installing stationary fuel cell systems in new or existing buildings are funded by

  • Privat persons
  • Commerce businesses
  • Apartments owners associations
  • public and municipal institutions
  • Nonprofit organizations and churches
  • Domestic and foreign companies.

This means that the energy transition can also start with you and contribute sustainably to protecting our climate while reducing energy costs.

Efficiency of a fuel cell CHP

Combined heat and power plants are already economical today because they can significantly reduce your electricity costs.

The price difference between electricity and natural gas generates profitability over its useful life.

Fuel cell technology is characterized by the high efficiency of the technology. The electrical efficiency is 34%, which is higher than most gas-powered CHP systems.

Coupled with the thermal output, the systems achieve an efficiency of well over 90%.

Our fuel cell combined heat and power plants (FC-CHP) have been in reliable continuous operation for several years (References).
