As the first manufacturer (almost 20 years ago) of a fuel cell CHP with an electrical output of 4.2 kW, you can rely on our long experience, innovative ideas and profound knowledge.

Innovative solution for your energy suppl with a fuel cell CHP

Our inhouse5000+ micro combined heat and power plant has an electrical output of 4.2 kilowatts and a thermal output of 7.5 kilowatts. This makes the hydrogen-powered fuel cell ideal for multi-family houses, commercial operations, office buildings, hotels or restaurants or retirement homes. Produce a large part of your electricity and heat requirements efficiently and cleanly in your own basement.

A fuel cell CHP unit offers considerable potential for saving energy costs and CO2 emissions

In addition to its comparatively high performance for fuel cell CHP units, the inhouse5000+ impresses with its PEM fuel cell due to its good modulation capability. The electrical output can be adjusted between 2.5 and 4.2 kW as required and enables continuous operation even in summer.

Economy of the fuel cell CHP inhouse5000+

Fuel cell combined heat and power plants are already economical today, as they significantly reduce your electricity costs.

By using the self-generated electrical energy, good amortization is achieved over the useful life of the CHP unit.

Why is that? You know the price for the electricity from your provider. To generate your own electricity, you need natural gas, which is significantly cheaper. This means that the electricity you generate yourself is also significantly cheaper. Because of these savings, the use of our fuel cell CHP inhouse5000+ is economical.

With an investment amount of € 31,000 (including KfW funding) and energy cost savings of € 4,512 per year, the amortisation of our fuel cell combined heat and power plant inhouse5000+ is already achieved after 6 years.

The profitability or amortization of the investment in a fuel cell CHP results from the following calculation:

For our fuel cell CHP you have to expect full maintenance costs of around € 2,400 per year. In addition to a natural gas requirement of 113,100 kWh at a gas price of € 0.048 / kWh (net), you will incur costs of € 5,428 for gas consumption.

The electricity and heat savings that result from your own generation of electrical and thermal energy (approx. 8,700 h per year) amount to a total of approx. € 12,340 per year. After deducting the operating costs, there is an annual plus of € 4,512.

For comparison: a standard heating system never pays for itself. In addition to the acquisition and installation costs, there are also monthly consumption costs.

Funding € 29,900 for fuel cell subsidy

The investment in our fuel cell CHP is funded by the federeal government within the framework of the funding program “KfW433” “Energy-efficient construction and renovation – fuel cell subsidy” from KfW Bank.

This funding program subsidizes our fuel cell heating systems inhouse5000+ with € 29,900 as a non-repayable grant.

The costs for installing stationary fuel cell systems in new or existing buildings are funded by

How the CHP works

Our CHP in-house5000+ works with a natural gas connection, as is also the case with standard heating systems such as Condensing boiler is used.

In the CHP plant, hydrogen is generated from natural gas to generate electrical energy. In detail, oxygen and hydrogen react with each other in a controlled process – this is also called cold combustion – and the reaction products are water, electrical energy and heat, which are used e.g. for heating and hot water preparation.

This results in significantly less CO2 emissions, fine dust, soot or sulfur dioxide.
